Founded in 1968, we are a third family generation of house builders originally from Hertfordshire. For over 50 years, we have been designing and building luxury residential and commercial properties around Hertfordshire, North London, The Home Counties, Surrey, Essex, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and more.

The Process
Before the start of any project with GRIGGS, we will agree a building programme, specification and detailed costs overview. We will do everything to ensure that projects will be delivered on time and within the allocated budget.
Customer Service
We constantly thrive for excellent relationships with our clients, some which we have had for multiple generations. There is no task too small and we are always here to listen to your requirements.
Our after-sales team are on hand to help with any issues when settling in to your new home. All our clients are presented with a comprehensive handover pack, which includes a full specification for their home, together with any warranties for the building and its appliances.
Planning
We are experienced in working with Local Authorities and community stakeholders to maximise our chances of obtaining planning permission including Conservation Areas and Green Belt Land. We can assist with a range of property requirements including single plots and multi-unit developments.
Interior Design
GRIGGS offers an in-house architectural and interior design team who will listen to your requirements and provide illustrations to show how your new home could look. Our services include bedroom and bathroom design, bespoke furniture and kitchens, fittings, skirting and more.
Construction
Our in-house construction expertise is led at Director level and we will have Contracts Managers and Site Managers on your site every day to oversee the project. Working closely with our office based team, we can provide peace of mind that projects are delivered within the agreed costs and timescales.
10 Year NHBC and 2 Year Griggs Warranty
We are confident our homes are built to the highest standards and you can be too.
All our new homes carry a ten year NHBC, Premier Guarantee, Advantage or similar Buildmark warranty and there is also a two year GRIGGS warranty to fix any issues as a result of materials or workmanship.

What Does a House Builder Do?
A house builder essentially makes sure that the development and build goes according to plan.
A house builder will be involved in every step of the build process, including the design and planning phase and being responsible for the construction and build of the home, often managing a number of key builders, plumbers and electricians to making your vision a reality.
All of this whilst keeping within the certified timeframes and adhering to all essential building and planning standards and regulations.
