Chris started his career when he joined the company in 1997. Chris started on-site, learning the principles of building to a high standard first hand, at the age of sixteen.
Having worked with every trade from an early stage in his career, Chris has a wealth of expert knowledge in all of the detailed processes involved in constructing new homes. Chris has held a range of positions within the company and became a Director of the company in March 2013.
In 2017 Chris celebrated his 20th year with the company. During the period of his Directorship, the company has experienced a sustained period of organic growth in terms of turnover, profitability and personnel.
When day-to-day responsibilities allow, Chris enjoys focusing the design and specification and finishing of our developments, which all set our homes apart from those of our competitors.
Away from the office, Chris enjoys spending time with his family as well as taking a keen interest in sport, travelling and languages.
After studying at Surrey University to become a Bachelor of Engineering, Ross accepted a position at one of the UK’s top building contractors, Skanska UK Plc.
In 2006 Ross joined the family company as a Site Manager, putting his skills to use and quickly proving to be an invaluable member of the team.
In March 2013 Ross became a Director of the company, focussing on construction methods as well as streamlining our processes and improving efficiency both on-site and in the office.
Ross particularly enjoys the technical aspects of the construction process and his technical knowledge in this area continues to be an invaluable asset to the company.
Out of work, Ross enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
James joined GRIGGS as a Director in February 2019, bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge to the business and our development activities, having previously built a successful partnership that became one of the most prolific and well-known developers in North London under his leadership.
James is a talented deal-maker and his specialisms include the acquisition of off-market development land and strategic green belt land promotion. James has an excellent track record in obtaining complex and contentious planning permissions.
During his career, James has become renowned for his excellent business acumen and his ability to make things happen. The aspect of his role that James enjoys the most is achieving successful outcomes for all parties involved.
James’ personal interests include travelling, spending time with his family including 3 children and offering his unfaltering support to the mighty Watford FC.
